Welcome to Pat's Place

Hi, welcome to my place!  In reality "my place" is a northeast suburb of Atlanta, Georgia.  Although I've lived in Georgia all my life, our roots are in East Tennessee, "Low Country" South Carolina, Northern Illinois and New England.

In addition to my personal genealogy pages and vintage postcard collections, I host  several county sites for the USGenWeb Project.    Kick your shoes off, relax, and enjoy your visit!       Pat Sabin

ABOUT ME & WHAT'S NEW

I host a number of history, genealogy, and vintage postcard sites, and just moved my DuPage County, Illinois site to the ILGenWeb Project.  I'm still fixing links and reorganizing, but it is looking good at http://www.patsabin.com/dupage/

I'm still a residential real estate agent in Gwinnett County and northeast metro Atlanta, Georgia.   You'll find my real estate site and link to my blog and newsletter at http://www.patsabin.com.      I had a great time photographing my  HO scale diorama last Christmas, and it has its own blog  http://www.mytinypeople.wordpress.com

Because I get so many requests for high resolution scans of vintage postcards, I now offer high resolution scans of some of my most popular vintage postcards at very affordable prices.  The images are brightened and digitally restored, so they work well for documentaries, publications, or framed prints.
Vintage Postcard Images

In October 2010 I sustained multiple fractures of my shoulder and upper arm from a fall down a steep embankment.  I'm MUCH improved, but will continue to post and answer questions about Proximal Humerus Fractures and the ORIF surgery on my blog  to help other people who are on the same journey.  http://shoulderdiary.wordpress.com/ .
