| Mary Colt Sabin was born November 28, 1855 in Naperville, Illinois,
the second child of Albert S. and Sarah Ellis Sabin. She was a spririted
and independent woman who had many beaus but never married. She traveled
extensively throughout her life.
At some point in the early 1900s, Mary wrote fascinating EARLY RECOLLECTIONS of her childhood in Naperville, Illinois. She actually entitled them "Early Recollections of Guy Sabin," because so much of the writings include her memories of her childhood and adolescence with her brother, Guy Ellis Sabin. For some time Mary lived in New York to be close to her sisters, Fannie
(Frances E. Sabin) and Daisy. She died May 04, 1936 and
