High Resolution Digital Photographic Inventory of Your
Home, Office, Or Collectibles WHY YOU NEED A DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHIC HOME INVENTORY The most obvious reason to have a detailed home inventory is proof of assets in the case of a theft, fire, or natural disaster. High resolution digital images combined with scanned copies of accompanying receipts or appraisals is the best way to remember what you own and prove it to your insurance company. Where would you start after such an event? The best starting point is an off-site digital inventory stored in your office or bank's safe deposit box. Hobbiests may want a detailed record of a particular collection or project for personal enjoyment or for an upcoming hobby show. If you own family heirlooms such as antique furniture, paintings, lamps, linens, or dinnerware, this is the ideal way to preserve and share detailed images and the stories behind them with family members and future generations. HOW YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR IMAGES Typically, I will edit the high resolution still photographs and create two copies for you on CDs. You are welcome to copy them to your home computer or flash drive (I keep my own inventory on my home computer, flash drive which I carry with me, and a CD in my bank Safe Deposit Box). The CDs will be mailed to you within two (2) business days. If you are in Gwinnett County, schedule permitting, I may be able to hand deliver them to you. If you are in a greater hurry for the images and can't wait for better quality edited photographs, I can copy the images at the time of your appointment to a flash drive which you provide .  COLLECTION PACKAGE FOR $40.00* Up to 25 high resolution digital images of a single collection for $40.00, to be added to the basic home inventory package or as a stand-alone project. I photograph all collections including miniatures. A collection may include almost any inanimate objects, but for high resolution images of vintage ephemera (paper), including postcards, greeting cards, old photographs and documents, I recommend scanning at high resolution. I may be adding this service, so please let me know if this is of interest. * Because I must schedule around my real estate clients and responsibilities, I am offering home inventory services primarily in Gwinnett County, Georgia. There is an additional "Trip Charge" of $20.00 for northern or eastern suburbs outside Gwinnett County. WHY I AM OFFERING THIS SERVICE The 2009 flood in metro Atlanta was a grim reminder that unexpected events happen, and we only have to watch the news most nights to see a story about a family's great loss due to theft or disaster. Recently, I met with past clients who are recovering from such an event which damaged a good portion of their lovely home. It was then that I decided to begin this service by offering it first to my real estate clients. I PRACTICE WHAT I PREACH. For years I have maintained a home inventory on my home computer, with a copy on a CD in my bank's safe deposit box and on a flash drive which carry with me. When I purchase an item of value, I photograph it, scan the receipt, and add it to my inventory. If I have significant home repair or replacement, I do the same. It's very comforting to me to know that in the case of theft or disaster, I'll have a logical place to begin working with my insurance company.
